Lessons
Private and group lessons are available in both Japanese and native-level English.
プライベートレッスンおよびグループレッスンは、日本語ならびに英語のいずれにも対応しております。
All lessons follow the official curriculum of the Ohara School.
Specific lessons will be based on the level and experience of the student after a consultation. Beginners trying Ikebana for the first time are also welcome.
Lessons can be conducted in either Japanese or in English.
Pricing for both private and group lessons is available upon inquiry.
The studio is located only a 3 minute walk from Ebisu Station, served by several JR lines and the Hibiya Subway Line. (See map below)
Currently teach students from Japan and many foreign countries.
レッスンはすべて小原流の正式カリキュラムに基づいて丁寧に指導いたします。
具体的なレッスン内容は、事前のご相談を経て、生徒様のご経験やレベルに応じて決定いたします。いけばなを初めて体験される初心者の方も歓迎しております。
レッスンは日本語または英語のいずれでも実施可能です。

お教室はJR各線および東京メトロ日比谷線が利用可能な恵比寿駅より徒歩3分の場所にございます。
現在、日本国内および多くの海外からの生徒様を指導しております。

If you are interested in Ikebana or considering joining our classes, you are warmly invited to take part in a trial session.
Fee: ¥5,000 (includes flower materials)
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Schedule: Mondays
Please let us know your preferred time via the inquiry form.
We also offer group Ikebana experience sessions upon request.

About the Ohara School of Ikebana
The Ohara School of Ikebana, founded in 1895 by its first Headmaster Unshin Ohara, is one of the leading schools representing modern Ikebana. At a time when a wide variety of new plant materials were introduced to Japan through Western influence, the school pioneered the Moribana style, using shallow containers and kenzan to depict natural landscapes. This innovation greatly expanded the expressive possibilities of Ikebana.
Ohara School of Ikebana emphasizes a deep observation of plants in their natural environments, seeking to express seasonal transitions and the harmony of nature within a container.
While honoring traditional forms, it also embraces creativity and adaptability, allowing arrangements to harmonize with contemporary spaces and international contexts.
Today, the Ohara School has spread throughout the world and continues to be practiced by people of diverse backgrounds, carrying forward an artistic tradition that nurtures a deeper connection with nature.
小原流について
小原流は、1895年に初代家元 小原雲心 によって創流された、近代いけばなを代表する流派のひとつです。西洋文化の流入により多様な花材が日本にもたらされた時代に、水盤と剣山を用いて自然の風景を写し取る「盛花」を創案し、いけばなの表現を大きく発展させました。
小原流のいけばなは、植物が本来持つ姿や生育環境へのまなざしを大切にし、器の中に自然の調和や季節の移ろいを表現することを理念としています。伝統的な様式美を重んじると同時に、現代の生活空間や国際的な舞台にも調和する自由で創造的な表現を追求している点が特徴です。
現在では世界各国に広がり、多くの人々に学ばれ、自然と向き合う心を育む芸術文化として受け継がれています。
